Field Hockey

Field hockey is a team sport played on grass or artificial turf in which two teams of eleven players use curved sticks to hit a small hard ball into the opposing team's goal. It is a major Olympic sport with particularly strong followings in India, Pakistan, the Netherlands, Australia, and parts of Europe, and it demands stick skill, speed, and tactical passing. Players and fans are drawn to its fast-paced, flowing style of play and the skill involved in controlling the ball at speed.
