Indoor Hockey

Indoor hockey is a variant of field hockey adapted for play on a smaller indoor court, typically with six players per side instead of eleven, and rules restricting hard hits and requiring the ball to stay largely on the ground. It offers a faster, more technical game emphasizing skill and quick passing, and serves as a popular off-season activity for field hockey players. It has its own world championships organized by the International Hockey Federation.
