Blind Hockey

Blind hockey is an adapted version of ice hockey for players who are blind or visually impaired, using a larger, metal puck containing ball bearings that makes noise when it moves, along with shorter, blade-less goals and offside/no-icing rule adjustments to keep play flowing near the puck's sound. Teams must include players with varying degrees of vision loss to maintain balance. The sport has grown through organizations in Canada and the U.S. and is pushing for eventual Paralympic recognition.
