Dragon Dance
The Dragon Dance is a traditional Chinese performance art in which a team of dancers manipulates a long, articulated dragon puppet mounted on poles, making it undulate, twist, and "chase" a pearl in a display of skill and coordination. It is performed at celebrations such as Chinese New Year and other festivals to bring good luck and ward off evil spirits, and requires practiced timing among the performers holding the poles.
