Broomball

Broomball is a team sport played on an ice rink similar to ice hockey, but players wear special rubber-soled shoes instead of skates and use a broomball stick (traditionally broom-like) to hit a small ball into the opposing goal. Popular in Canada, the northern US, and parts of Europe, it's often played recreationally at rinks and by casual leagues, including at winter festivals and corporate team-building events. Its lower barrier to entry compared to hockey (no skating skill required) makes it accessible to beginners while still delivering fast-paced, physical competition.
