Boogaloo

A Latin music and dance genre that emerged in the 1960s among Puerto Rican and African American youth in New York City, blending Latin son and mambo rhythms with American R&B and soul. It also refers to a related funk-influenced street dance style, and both the music and dance are celebrated for their playful fusion of cultures and infectious grooves.
