Heelwork to Music

Heelwork to music, often called canine freestyle, is a competitive dog sport in which a handler and dog perform a choreographed routine of close heelwork positions and tricks set to music. Judges score the pair on the precision and variety of the heelwork, the dog's attention and willingness, and the creativity and musicality of the routine. It grew out of obedience training in the 1990s and is popular with dog owners who enjoy training and showcasing a strong bond with their pet.
