Ba Game

Ba (or 'ba' game, also known as Ba' game) is a traditional, large-scale, and often chaotic folk football game played in certain towns of Scotland and northern England, notably Kirkwall in Orkney, where two teams (Uppies and Doonies) try to move a leather ball to their respective goal across the town, often through streets and even the harbor. It has ancient roots and continues today as a fiercely contested community tradition on specific holidays like Christmas and New Year's Day.
