Windsurfing

Windsurfing is a water sport combining elements of sailing and surfing, in which a rider stands on a board and controls a hand-held sail rig to harness wind power for propulsion and steering. It can be practiced recreationally on calm water or competitively in disciplines like slalom, freestyle, and wave-riding, and it has been an Olympic sailing event since 1984.
