Wakesurfing

A water sport where a rider surfs on the wake created by a slow-moving boat without being directly pulled by a tow rope for most of the ride, dropping the rope once up and riding the wave like a surfer. It's popular because it mimics ocean surfing conditions on lakes and rivers and produces a smaller, quieter wake ideal for surf-style tricks.
