Te Ano
Te ano (or te 'ano) is a traditional Kiribati team sport played with a ball made of woven pandanus leaves, in which two teams try to keep the ball aloft and score points based on skillful volleys without letting it touch the ground. It resembles a mix of volleyball and keepie-uppie and is played on a court divided by a center line. The game holds cultural significance in Kiribati and is featured at regional Pacific sporting events.
