Parkour

Parkour is a training discipline and physical art of movement in which practitioners (traceurs) move through urban or natural environments as efficiently and fluidly as possible, using techniques like vaulting, climbing, jumping, and rolling to overcome obstacles. Developed in France in the 1980s-90s by David Belle and others drawing on military obstacle-course training, it emphasizes discipline, spatial awareness, and functional strength over performance. It has grown into a global subculture and fitness practice, often practiced in cities using stairs, rails, and walls as a course.
