Straight Rail
Straight rail is a classic carom billiards discipline played on a pocketless table, in which a player scores points by causing the cue ball to contact both object balls in a single stroke, with no restrictions on where the balls lie on the table. It's one of the oldest cue sports formats and was historically a dominant competitive discipline before it gave way to balkline and other restricted variants that made runs more challenging. It rewards precise position play and remains foundational to modern carom billiards technique.
