Sittuyin

Sittuyin, also called Burmese chess, is a traditional chess variant from Myanmar played on an 8x8 board without initial ranks marked, in which players first place their own pieces in a setup phase before play begins. It uses pieces with movement rules distinct from international chess, such as a general-like king and a stronger version of the bishop-like piece, and remains a traditionally played game in Myanmar.
