Surr

A surr is a simple homemade spinning toy, traditionally popular among children in South Asia, made from a button or disc with two holes threaded with string; twisting and pulling the string alternately makes the disc spin and produce a whirring sound. It is a low-cost folk toy passed down informally rather than a manufactured or commercial product.
