Shuttle Hurdle Relay

The shuttle hurdle relay is a track and field relay event in which teams of runners alternate directions along the same straight track, each leg clearing a set of hurdles before tagging off to a teammate waiting at the opposite end. Unlike standard relays that use a baton passed around a track, shuttle relays rely on a touch or line start once the incoming runner crosses the finish. It is a popular event in high school and collegiate dual meets in the United States.
