River to River Relay

The River to River Relay is an annual long-distance relay race held in southern Illinois, running roughly 80 miles from the Mississippi River to the Ohio River (or vice versa depending on the year) across the Shawnee Hills. Teams of runners divide the course into legs and pass off timing responsibility much like a traditional track relay, drawing collegiate, club, and recreational runners. It is one of the oldest and best-known point-to-point relay races in the American Midwest.
