Show Hunter

Show hunter is an equestrian competition discipline in which horses are judged on manners, way of going, and jumping style over a course of natural-looking fences, rather than on speed or strict fault-based scoring as in show jumping. Judges look for a smooth, rhythmic canter, correct jumping form, and calm, obedient behavior that reflects the horse's suitability as a field hunter. It is especially popular in the United States and United Kingdom hunter/jumper show circuits.
