Roque

Roque is an American variant of croquet played on a hard, flat, walled court, using shorter-handled mallets and different rules for hitting balls off the boundary walls into play. It was developed in the late 19th century and was featured as an Olympic sport at the 1904 St. Louis Games, though it remains largely obscure today with only a small dedicated following. Its precision shot-making and strategic use of the court's walls distinguish it from lawn croquet.
