Pickup Truck Racing

Pickup truck racing is a motorsport discipline in which modified pickup trucks race on oval tracks or off-road courses, ranging from stock-appearing trucks to purpose-built off-road racing trucks like those in the Stadium Super Trucks or Baja series. NASCAR's Craftsman Truck Series is the best-known circuit, featuring trucks built to look like production pickups but engineered with racing chassis and engines. Fans are drawn to the closer, more physical racing style and heavier contact typical of truck competition compared to standard stock car racing.
