Pararowing
Pararowing (also called adaptive or para rowing) is the Paralympic version of the sport of rowing, contested by athletes with physical or visual impairments in boats adapted with features like fixed seats, pontoons for stability, or strapping depending on classification. Events include single sculls and crew boats raced over a 2,000-meter (or shorter, for some classes) course on flatwater. It has been part of the Paralympic program since 2008 and showcases adapted technique and strength suited to each athlete's impairment.
