Llargues

Llargues is a traditional form of Basque pelota played outdoors on open streets or fields rather than in an enclosed court. Two teams strike a hard ball back and forth with a bare or lightly protected hand, trying to make it land beyond the opposing team's position. It survives today mainly as a regional pastime and folk sport in the Basque Country, valued for its long history and village-square setting.
