Freediving

Freediving is underwater diving performed on a single breath, without scuba tanks or other breathing apparatus, relying on breath-hold (apnea) training and relaxation techniques. It is practiced recreationally for spearfishing, underwater photography, and the meditative challenge of the dive, and competitively in disciplines like static apnea, constant weight, and no-limits diving that test depth or duration.
