Competition Climbing

Competition climbing is the umbrella term for organized competitive climbing disciplines, including bouldering, lead climbing, and speed climbing, governed internationally by the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC). Athletes compete on artificial walls with standardized holds and routes, scored by height reached, completion, or time. It became an official Olympic sport at the Tokyo 2020 Games and attracts climbers who enjoy testing strength, technique, and mental focus under competitive pressure.
