College Flag Football

College flag football is a non-contact variant of American football played at the collegiate level, where ball carriers are down when an opponent pulls a flag from their belt instead of tackling. It has rapidly expanded as an emerging varsity sport, especially for women, with the NCAA and NAIA sanctioning championships and conferences adding scholarship programs. Its lower injury risk and fast-paced 5-on-5 or 7-on-7 format have made it attractive for schools looking to broaden athletic offerings.
