Australian Football

Australian football, commonly called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, is a contact sport played on a large oval field between two teams of 18 players using an oval ball. Players score by kicking the ball between goalposts, and the game is known for its high marking, long kicking, and free-flowing, minimal-stoppage style. It is the most popular sport in Australia's southern and western states and is administered nationally by the Australian Football League (AFL).
