Chaturaji

Chaturaji (or Chaturanga's four-handed form) is an ancient Indian board game for four players, each commanding a quarter army of chess-like pieces (king, elephant, horse, boat/ship, and pawns) arranged at the corners of a shared board. Moves were traditionally determined partly by dice rolls, and the game is historically significant as one of the precursors that influenced the development of two-player chess.
