Bridge

Bridge is a trick-taking card game for four players in two partnerships, played with a standard 52-card deck. It involves a bidding phase where partners use coded bids to communicate their hand strength and desired trump suit, followed by play of the cards to fulfill or defend against the contract. It's prized as a cerebral, highly social game requiring memory, probability estimation, and communication with one's partner, and is played both casually and in serious competitive/tournament settings (duplicate bridge).
