Bottle-Kicking
An old English folk custom, most famously the Hallaton Bottle Kicking contest held annually in Leicestershire on Easter Monday, in which two village teams scrum and wrestle to carry small wooden barrels ('bottles') across a stream and boundary. It is a rough, communal tradition valued for its deep local history and rowdy village rivalry rather than formal rules.
