Shin-Kicking

Shin-kicking is a traditional English combat sport in which two competitors grip each other's shoulders or collars and attempt to kick each other's shins to force a fall, historically padded only with straw down the trouser legs. It is best known as a signature event of the Cotswold Olimpick Games, an annual festival dating to the early 17th century, and is contested more for good-humored tradition than for serious injury.
