Boar Hunting

Boar hunting is the pursuit and killing of wild boar (feral pigs), practiced worldwide as a traditional hunting activity, a wildlife/agricultural management tool to control invasive or overpopulated boar, and a source of meat. Methods include using dogs to track and bay the animal, stalking with rifles or bows, spot-and-stalk at night with thermal optics, and in some regions, driven hunts with multiple hunters. It draws hunters for the physical challenge and danger posed by boars, which can be aggressive when cornered, as well as for population control in areas where feral hogs damage crops and ecosystems.
