Fox Hunting

Fox hunting is a traditional field sport, especially associated with the English countryside, in which a pack of hounds tracks and pursues a fox while mounted riders follow on horseback. Historically justified as pest control for farmers, it became a prominent upper-class social and equestrian tradition, and live fox hunting with hounds has since been banned or restricted in the UK and elsewhere, with drag hunting (following an artificial scent trail) now more common.
