Baton Twirling

Baton twirling is a performance sport and art form in which a performer manipulates a metal baton through spins, tosses, catches, and rolls, often combined with dance and gymnastic elements set to music. It is practiced competitively at club, national, and world championship levels, and also appears in parades, marching band halftime shows, and drum corps performances. Practitioners, historically mostly women and girls though increasingly diverse today, are drawn to its blend of athleticism, coordination, and showmanship.
