Hornussen

Hornussen is a traditional Swiss team sport, sometimes called 'Swiss golf-hockey,' in which a player launches a small puck-like disc called a 'Hornuss' off a flexible springboard using a long, whip-like stick, sending it at high speed toward the opposing team's field. Fielders try to block the airborne Hornuss using large wooden paddles called 'Schindeln,' and the sport is especially popular in rural cantons of Switzerland.
