Basque Bowls

Basque bowls (known locally as "boules" or in Basque "bolatoki" games) is a traditional lawn bowling game from the Basque Country in which players roll or throw wooden balls toward a smaller target ball, aiming to land closest to it. It is played on dedicated earthen or grass alleys and is often featured alongside other rural Basque sports at village festivals, valued for its social, low-impact nature and deep local tradition.
