Skills and hobbies

Adding them, how suggestions work, and where they show up.

Updated July 30, 2026

Adding skills

In Edit profile, start typing a skill and pick from the taxonomy — nearly 7,000 real skills. As you add skills, the picker suggests related ones (people who know Kubernetes often also list Docker).

Skills matter beyond your profile: job listings show a match percentage based on skill overlap, and recruiters searching for candidates filter by skills you've listed.

Hobbies

Hobbies are first-class here — this is a network for whole people, not just job titles. Add them the same way; there are about 3,000 to choose from.

Where they appear

Every skill and hobby links to its own public hub page (like Skills and Hobbies) showing who else shares it — a genuinely good way to find your people.

Still stuck? A person will read it — promise.
