Your profile

Control who sees what

Public profile, leaderboard, salary, outreach, and feed-sharing choices.

Updated July 30, 2026

Defaults here are conservative, and every visibility lever is yours.

The levers

  • Public profile — your profile page is public and indexable by search engines. What's on it is what you've chosen to add.
  • Salary — never public. Salary entries feed only aggregate statistics, and only once at least five people are in a segment. See How salary sharing works.
  • Leaderboard — you can opt out of appearing on the contribution leaderboard from Edit Profile.
  • Recruiter outreach — a profile toggle controls whether recruiters can send you outreach requests at all.
  • Feed sharing — every milestone add has a share checkbox; unchecked means no feed post.
  • Timeline entries — individual roles and education can be excluded from your visual timeline.

Privacy-related settings are mirrored in Settings so you don't have to hunt for them.

Still stuck? A person will read it — promise.

Turn on analytics and we load Google Analytics: Google gets the pages you open and what you do here — searches, jobs you view, jobs you apply to — and sets its own cookies. Leave it off and the only cookies we set are your login, your theme, and this answer. Accept All also records a yes to advertising, which nothing uses yet. Privacy Policy.
