Basque Language

Languages

Basque (Euskara) is a language spoken by the Basque people in parts of northern Spain and southwestern France, notable as a language isolate unrelated to any other known language family, including neighboring Romance languages. It has its own grammar, vocabulary, and writing system, and is taught in schools and used in media within the Basque Country. Learning Basque is often pursued for cultural connection, heritage, or regional civic engagement.
