Worm Charming

Worm charming is the practice, and competitive novelty sport, of coaxing earthworms up to the surface of soil using vibration techniques like stomping, "twanging" a fork stuck in the ground, or pouring water, without digging them out. It's celebrated in organized competitions such as the World Worm Charming Championships in England, where competitors try to lure the most worms from a plot within a set time.
