Vigoro

Vigoro is a paddle-and-ball team sport that combines elements of cricket and tennis, played on a court with a central net, using a paddle-like bat to hit a ball bowled by an opponent. It was invented in Australia in the early 20th century and historically was popular among women as a genteel alternative to cricket. Today it survives mainly in Australia among a small community of enthusiasts who value its blend of batting, bowling, and fielding skills.
