Vault

The vault is a gymnastics apparatus and event in which athletes sprint down a runway, spring off a board, and perform aerial flips and twists after pushing off a padded vaulting table before landing. It is contested in both artistic men's and women's gymnastics and requires explosive power, precise timing, and body control. Vaulting is judged on difficulty, execution, and landing stability.
