Surf Kayaking

Surf kayaking is a paddlesport in which kayakers ride ocean waves much like surfers, using short, highly maneuverable kayaks designed to carve, spin, and perform aerial tricks on breaking waves. Paddlers position themselves in the lineup alongside surfers, catching waves and using the kayak's rocker and edges to control speed and direction down the wave face. It combines whitewater kayaking skills with surfing technique and has its own competitive scene judged on wave selection and trick execution.
