Sidecar Racing

Sidecar racing is a motorsport in which a motorcycle fitted with an attached sidecar is raced on road circuits or tracks, requiring a two-person team: a rider who steers and controls the throttle/brakes, and a passenger who shifts body weight dramatically to balance the vehicle through corners. The passenger's acrobatic movements, leaning far off the sidecar platform, are essential to keeping the three-wheeled machine stable at speed. It has a dedicated world championship history, including as part of the FIM Sidecar World Championship.
