Sagol Kāngjei
Sagol kāngjei, meaning 'pony hockey,' is a traditional equestrian stick-and-ball sport from Manipur, India, in which riders on horseback strike a wooden ball with curved sticks to score goals. It is widely regarded as an ancestor of modern polo, which the British adapted after encountering the game in Manipur in the 19th century.
