Rodeo

Rodeo is a competitive sport that developed from the working practices of Spanish and Mexican cattle herders and later American cowboys, featuring events such as bull riding, bareback and saddle bronc riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, and barrel racing. Modern rodeos are held throughout North America and elsewhere as organized competitions testing riders' skill, balance, and nerve against untamed livestock, and remain closely tied to ranching heritage and Western culture.
