Recurve Bow

A recurve bow is a type of bow whose limbs curve away from the archer when unstrung, storing more energy and delivering greater power and speed than a straight-limbed bow of similar size. It is the only bow type permitted in Olympic archery competition and is also used in traditional and field archery. Archers are drawn to it for its balance of tradition, performance, and accessibility compared to more modern compound bows.
