Powered Hang Glider

A powered hang glider (often called a hang glider with an auxiliary motor, or a form of powered ultralight) is a hang glider fitted with a small engine and propeller, usually mounted on the pilot's back or the glider frame, enabling self-launched, engine-assisted flight. This lets pilots take off from flat ground without needing a hill, cliff, or tow. It combines the free, weight-shift control of hang gliding with the range extension of powered flight.
