Over-the-Line

Over-the-line (OTL) is a beach ball-and-bat game played with three-player teams, invented in San Diego, California, where a batter hits a pitched ball into a defined field and the goal is to land it 'over the line' past the defenders. It's a simplified, fast-paced variant conceptually related to baseball, popular in Southern California beach culture, with the annual OTL tournament at Mission Bay being a well-known event. The game emphasizes quick reflexes and social, casual competition.
