Olympic Weightlifting

Olympic weightlifting is a strength sport contested at the Olympic Games consisting of two lifts: the snatch, in which the barbell is lifted from the floor to overhead in one continuous motion, and the clean and jerk, performed in two stages. Athletes compete within bodyweight categories, and the sport demands a combination of explosive power, technique, flexibility, and precise timing.
