Nine-a-Side Footy

Nine-a-side footy refers to modified versions of football codes (such as Australian rules football or rugby) played with nine players per team instead of the standard number, typically used for junior development, social competitions, or venues with limited field space. Reducing team size increases each player's involvement with the ball and simplifies tactics, making it useful for teaching skills to younger or less experienced players. It is common in school programs and casual community leagues.
